Skye, you’re a Dear

When my granddaughter, Skye, began talking, she enjoyed telling each person at the table what kind of animal they were. In her very artistic little brain she could see characteristics of different species. We always found this very cute and entertaining.
One day my son’s good friend, Paul, joined us for a meal. He was a big Russian hockey player, with beautiful blue eyes.
Skye began sharing her perceptions, “Cassy, you’re a kitty. Mommy, you’re a lamb. Daddy, you’re a bear. And Paul…” She paused as she gazed into the striking eyes of this handsome Russian hockey player. Her voice softened as she cooed, “Paul, you’re a flower.”
